Cloudy, cool, dreary week lies ahead
Depending on how you look at it, we can be glad Masters 2016 was last week rather than this week, because sunshine will be very limited for the most of the upcoming week. A cold front will move into the Southeast Tuesday bringing the best chance of significant rain of the week Tuesday. The front will stall just to our south and east along the Georgia and South Carolina coastline and sit there pretty much the whole week, while high pressure anchors itself to our north across New England. This will set up a cool and cloudy pattern with a small chance of rain and drizzle each day Wedneday through Saturday. Tuesday, by far, will be the wettest day of the week; however, I do not expect to see the sun until the weekend. Speaking of the weekend, it looks pretty nice. Clouds could stick around for a portion of Saturday, and I can’t guarantee there won’t be some lingering light rain, but sunshine returns in earnest Sunday with highs climbing from the middle 60s, where they will be all week, into the middle 70s Sunday and upper 70s by Monday of next week.

Tuesday night – Cloudy and mild with a 30% chance of light rain and drizzle. Low in the middle 50s. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday – Cloudy, breezy and cool with a 20% chance of light rain and drizzle. High in the middle 60s. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
Wednesday night – Cloudy with a 20% chance of light rain. Low in the lower 50s.
Thursday – Cloudy with a 20% chance of light rain. High in the middle 60s.
Thursday night – Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of light rain. Low in the upper 40s.
Friday – Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain. High in the middle 60s.
Friday night – Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of light rain. Low in the upper 40s.
Saturday – Cloudy with a 20% chance of rain early, then gradual clearing for the afternoon. High in the upper 60s.
Saturday night – Partly cloudy. Low in the middle to upper 40s.
Sunday – Sunny and mild. High in the middle 70s.

Monday – Sunny and warm. High in the upper 70s.
