Windy conditions may make for an interesting Masters 2016
If the Masters 2016 Tournament is anywhere near as out of the ordinary as the weather in Augusta will be this week, it should be quite a tournament! It will be a quiet week as far as rain is concerned with only one chance of rain late Wednesday night through Thursday morning, but a frost advisory is in effect through Wednesday morning, and temperatures will be as much as 12 degrees below average headed into the weekend. Perhaps the biggest factor will be the wind. Prolonged windy conditions are expected behind a cold front that will pass through Thursday morning with computer models currently indicating 20 to 30 mph winds Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Those are sustained winds too. Wind gusts could be upwards of 35 or possibly even 40 mph, especially for round 2 Friday. With conditions like that, weather could be an equalizer making it more possible than ever for an underdog to prevail.
